Hey AV, finally got the record, and I must say your grading was most generous. I don’t know what you mean with do not affect play, but we must live in a different world, unless you mean that it does not skip! The record is not playable in a club, as you can deffinitly hear loud clicks on many occasions. Sorry for the hyperbole, but I’m extremely disappointed. What do you think of that?

Hi Christian,

Sorry to hear you are not happy with your order.

We have just returned from a week away in Greece and will check our files in the next few hours and get back to you as we record all second hand records (audio and images) in case of any issues.

You should get a detailed reply within the next 6 hours.

Best,
AV

Well, thank you for that. But I do have ears, hahaha

Hi Christian,

We have reviewed the audio files taken from this release and stand by our grading of VG+

You said “The record is not playable in a club, as you can deffinitly hear loud clicks on many occasions”

Can you take a listen to the files in the link below and point out where these issues are please? (i.e. which tracks have issues and approximate timing)
https://reflectionsofyesterday.co.uk/index.php/discogs-order-6506-2408/

We have copied Clive, our PayPal rep in the link so he’s aware of the release audio and images files.

If, after reviewing the images/audio files in the link above you are still unhappy with your order please advise and we will let you know the following steps to return it for a refund – please see the terms and conditions you agreed to (link below) regarding refunds and returns.

OK, this is silly. I have the record on my turntable, all 4 sides have clicks, recuring ones. This is not a VG+ record. I’m back in Sweden where I live with it, and returning it would cost me more than I already paid. This is just not a good experience at all, and I would never have bought a VG/VG- record, which this is.
I’m sorry we won’t come to an understdaning here, I’ve never taken advantage of a seller in any way, and I feel being taken advantage of myself here. I hope you understand my points, and are willing to help out, but seems I shouldn’t hold my hopes high…

Our reply: 15/06/2024 at 12:10

Christian,

It’s clear that you have not listened to any of the audio we sent you which was recorded from the release you purchased from us.

Even though it is considerably over 7 days since you received your order (we do actually state in our terms any issues MUST be reported to us within 7 days) we are still happy to offer a return on this item.

If you wish to return this for a refund, please advise and we can authorize this and give you a returns reference number to add to the packaging.  Please note though that the record(s) we sent and the covers MUST be the same ones that we sent and in the same condition!  We have had several instances where customers have tried to obtain a refund by passing off alternative records as ours – hence why we take images and audio from every second hand item we sell as evidence so we can back this up.

Best,
AV

I don’t understand why I should listen, since you tell me it is a VG+ record and it obviously is not? what am I missing here?
Now you are suspecting me of trying to swap the record for a bad one? This is starting to get really ugly.
I told you returning it would just cost me even more money, so that is not a solution. The problem in my book is you misgraded it, and now we have this bad mess.

Message from buyer: 15/06/2024 at  12:54

Oh, I did out of curiosity go check the images, and you can’t see any of the scratches on those, how bad they are.
So this is deceptive.
Seems that if I sent you the pictures, you would claim htey are not from the record you sent me.
Just look at my feedback, you’ll see I’m no scammer by any stretch. But now I get those misleading pictures from you. How do you expect one would feel about that??

Message from buyer: 15/06/2024 at 12:57

Looking at you buyer feedback, I see the negative ones you got you blame bad grading… I see you already removed the feedback you gave me. That screams trustworthyness…

Message from buyer: 15/06/2024 at 13:01

and BTW, that 7 days policy is not a real one, since you don’t know when I got the record, which is only 2 days ago, since I’m not in the UK and used a reshipping service, as many people do since Brexit.
Should I expect an honest attempt to try to solve this, or not?
Cheers,
Christian

Christian,

We still stand by our grading of VG+ for this release as we have provided links to the audio to back this up.

Our buyer feedback has nothing to do with selling records – our seller feedback is 100% with no neutral or negative feedbacks – we think you are confusing them both.

We shipped this record to an address in the UK so the 7 days runs from the date it’s received at that address.

We removed our feedback from you as it’s our policy when we run into dishonest buyers we automatically block them and remove any feedback left for them.

Going back to a message from you previously where you stated “You do have one other record I’m after, but above what I’m ready to pay right now, so be it” which suggests to us that you don’t like to part with much money for records and may have higher expectations (you bought a VG+ release for £14.99 – double release) and are perhaps expecting NM/M for that price!) or have buyers remorse and thought that you’d raise an “issue” to try and get a partial refund – this happens a lot on here sadly but as we have already advised you previously that even though this is over 7 days, we are still happy for you to return it at your expense.

There is no other option available – we don’t offer partial refunds as per our terms and conditions which you agreed to.

If you wish to return the records here is the returns reference: 6506-2408R

Address to send it to (please make sure it’s sent recorded/tracked)

Aficionado Vinyl
39 James Atkinson Way
Crewe
Cheshire
CW1 3NX
UK

Once received back we will check to ensure the same copy has been returned in the same condition it was sent and then issue a refund of £14.30 (this is less 4.9% + 20p transaction fee that PayPal do not reimburse)

Best,
AV
